How-to guides
Add Google and GitHub sign-in to your app
Da8a Auth supports email and password, magic links, Google, GitHub, phone and SAML single sign-on. Here’s how to add social sign-in.
1. Enable the provider
In your project, open Auth and enable Google or GitHub. Copy the callback URL shown there.
2. Create the OAuth app
- Google: in Google Cloud Console, create an OAuth client (web application) and add the callback URL as an authorised redirect URI.
- GitHub: in Developer settings → OAuth Apps, create an app with the callback URL as the authorization callback URL.
Paste the client ID and secret back into the provider settings in Da8a.
3. Allow your app’s URLs
Add your site’s URLs to the redirect allow-list. If the site is on Chapong and linked to the project, its URLs (including previews) are kept in sync for you.
4. Sign in from the client
await supabase.auth.signInWithOAuth({
provider: 'github',
options: { redirectTo: window.location.origin },
})
const { data: { user } } = await supabase.auth.getUser()Questions
Can I keep users when moving from Supabase?
Yes. Import from Supabase copies users and their logins; then enter the new callback URL in each provider’s console.
