Why we built it
Hosted backends made building apps much faster: a database, sign-in, an API and file storage in minutes. The trade-off is that your project usually lives on shared infrastructure, priced by usage, in a place you don’t control.
Da8a keeps the speed and changes the trade-off. Every project runs on a dedicated server, at a flat price per server, and speaks the same APIs as Supabase so you can use the supabase-js client you already know. Backups, recovery and updates are handled for you.
What we care about
- Sovereignty. Your data on a server dedicated to you, in a region you know.
- Portability. Standard Postgres and a standard client, so you’re never locked in.
- Predictable pricing. A flat price per server, not a meter on every request.
- You stay in charge. Our assistant proposes changes; you approve them.
